We are pleased to welcome Alicia Bradshaw as our new Director of Kentucky Operations, bringing with her more than five decades of experience across nearly every facet of the Thoroughbred racing industry.

Alicia is a lifelong horsewoman whose career has spanned racing regulation, elite stable management, ownership, business administration, and equine rehabilitation. She graduated from the University of Arizona in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science in Animal Health Science, specializing in the Race Track Industry Program, becoming the first graduate of that program.

Her professional career began on the regulatory side of the sport. From 1976 to 1983, Alicia served as a Racing Official for the State of California, making history as the first woman Racing Official in the state. In that role, she developed a deep understanding of racing rules and regulations, while also gaining valuable insight into the needs and realities of horsemen and racing operations.

From 1985 to 1992, Alicia was the Racing Stable Foreman for D. Wayne Lukas, managing barn operations for one of the most accomplished trainers in the history of the sport. During that time, she worked alongside championship-level horses including Lady’s Secret, Winning Colors, Open Mind, Is It True, Criminal Type, Gulch, and Capote. That experience sharpened her horsemanship while also reinforcing the importance of organization, structure, and sound business practices at the highest level of competition.

She later transitioned into ownership and management, serving from 1993 to 2001 as Co-Owner and Financial Administrator of Bradshaw Racing Stable, where she oversaw both day-to-day operations and the financial management of the stable.

Most recently, Alicia spent nearly two decades (2008–2026) in management roles at three equine rehabilitation and conditioning facilities, focusing on injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of the equine athlete. This phase of her career exposed her to the most advanced therapy modalities in the industry—an ever-evolving field driven by innovation and research.

Throughout her career, Alicia has continually expanded her knowledge and perspective, combining hands-on horsemanship with business acumen and operational leadership. Her breadth of experience makes her a tremendous asset to our organization as we continue to grow and strengthen our Kentucky-based operations.

Please join us in welcoming Alicia Bradshaw to the team.
