In the $30,000 John Schiffer Memorial Futurity at Energy Downs on June 21, two of CJ Thoroughbreds’ horses they bred in WY and are now racing, ran first and second. It is the second consecutive race that CJ Thoroughbreds has entered two horses in a Futurity in Wyoming and finished a dominating first and second.
June 21st Futurity winner, Two Steves, was second to Bobby Chancelot in the Wyoming-bred Thoroughbred Futurity on June 6, while second place finisher Nick’s Attitude was making his first start. The race was for open company (not restricted to Wyoming-breds) going five furlongs.
CJ Thoroughbreds has five accredited WY-bred two-year-olds trained by Dru Hall. The next futurity in Wyoming is July 26 at Wyoming Downs in Evanston.
